The challenge was to simplify a complex cooking process into an immersive yet effortless experience. Designing for XR meant balancing advanced technology with intuitive interaction, ensuring accessibility for users with varying cooking skills. We also needed to integrate real-time guidance, ingredient recognition, and dietary awareness without overwhelming the user or breaking the natural flow of cooking.

We developed CHOMP as a holistic experience, combining UX strategy, interaction design, and immersive storytelling. The system guides users through live recipes using voice interaction and visual overlays, scans ingredients to suggest dishes, and adapts recommendations based on dietary preferences and habits. Designed specifically for XR glasses and headsets, CHOMP transforms the kitchen into an interactive workspace where technology quietly supports the user. The overall experience focuses on clarity, comfort, and personalization, making cooking more engaging and accessible for everyone.
